Halloween degli Orrori

Descrizione Episodio:

Quando Lisa si spaventa della Notte degli Orrori di Halloween di Krustyland, Homer è forzato a rimuovere le sue decorazioni di Terrori Strill-son. I lavoratori a tempo determinato di Halloween cercano vendetta su Homer per aver causato loro di perdere il loro lavoro,  e svaligiano la sua casa mentre Homer e Lisa si nascondono in sotffita. Homer e Lisa accendono le loro decorazioni delle feste per attrarre l’attenzione e fermare gli intrusi.

TRAMA!:

Il giorno prima di Halloween, Homer completa le decorazioni della sua casa, chiamandole “Terrori Strill-son”, ma Homer ha messo gli scheletri di plastica troppo vicini alla fornace, e decidono di portare i resti indietro al negozio a tempo di Halloween. Lungo la strada verso il negozio, Lisa e Bart commentano come sono eccitati per l’imminente Orrore di Halloween di Krustyland.

Al negozio, apu (che ha scelto come nome con battuta di Halloween: A-Boo) si arrabbia ai tre lavoratori a tempo determinato pigri che dormono sul lavoro, dicendogli di tornare la lavoro. Ma uno di loro fa un offerta a Homer, che se lui compra uno dei “Señor Skeleton”, uno scheletro ballerino messicano, gliene avrebbe dato a Homer uno gratis. Homer accetta e parla dell’offerta ad Apu, che immediatamente licenzia i cattivi lavoratori. Loro promettono vendetta Homer, dicendo che se ne pentirà di averli fatti licenziare.

Più tardi, Homer porta i bambini all’Horror di Halloween, ma finisce per spaventare Lisa, che chiede a suo padre di riporarla a casa, ma poichè i biglietti costano troppo e lui e Bart si stavano divertendo al parco, Homer decide che avrebbe dovuto solo pensare che non è reale e stare al parco. Questo non ha affatto aiutato, e lisa finisce perduta al parco e traumatizzata al punto che tutti i lavoratori chiudettero il parco.

A scuola, il trauma di Lisa l’ha fatta spaventare anche dalla più semplice cosa di Halloween, come zombie e pipistrelli di carta. Si nasconde anche nel suo armadietto, solo per essere poi liberata da Marge. Tornati a casa, Marge capisce il problema di Lisa e dice a Homer che dovrebbero tirare giù Terrori Strill-son (siccome Lisa è spaventata al punto di chiedere aiuto da Tailee, una coda di animale di plastica), facendo arrabbiare Homer e Bart. Per riconcigliarsi con Bart, Marge lo porta insieme a Maggie al miglior Party del Blocco di Springfield, lasciando Lisa e Homer da soli.

A casa, Homer riceve la visita dai 3 ex-lavoratori a tempo determinato, dove iniziano a fare giochi di testa con lui. Homer capisce che sono stalkerati da suddetti lavoratori mentre prova a mantenere Lisa calma durante Halloween. Intanto al party del blocco, Marge scopre che è solo per residenti, siccome il party dell’anno prima è stato rovinato dai visitatori. Bart si arrabbia ancora di più perchè ha “saltato Halloween”.

Tornando a 742 Evergreen Terrace, Homer prova a chiudere la casa, non realizzando che i tre lavoratori erano già dentro. Prova a portare Lisa a casa di Flanders, ma lei torna indietro per prendere Tailee, l’unica cosa che l’ha tenuta calma durante Halloween. Homer corre per salvarla, solo per ritrovarsi faccia a facccia con gli invasori di casa. Homer e Lisa scappano sull’attico mentre gli ex-lavoratori li cercano.

Ma le cose non vanno meglio all’Halloween di Marge, Bart e Maggie. Siccome è troppo tardi, tutti i bambini sono a letto, ed è tempo dell’Halloween degli adulti, (quando gli adulti si vestono in costumi e si ubriacano), quindi Marge riporta i bambini a casa. A casa Simpson, Homer calma Lisa, e decidono di usare le decorazioni di Terrori Strill-son come segnale d’aiuto, ma accidentalmente attivano Señor Skeletons, segnalando la loro posizione agli invasori.

Homer sale sul tetto per accendere il resto dei fuochi d’artificio del 4 Luglio, ma il vento spegne i fiammiferi. Lisa allora ricorda che Tailee è fatto di polisterolo e brucerebbe facilmente, così Homer brucia Tailee per accendere i fuochi d’artificio, per attrarre l’attenzione della gente, e usa le luci per chiedere aiuto. Gli invasori di case sono poi arrestati quasi immediatamente e Homer ricostruisce Terrori Strill-son così che tutta la città potesse godersela.

PRODUZIONE!: Carl Zealer, che ha vinto una competizione per diventare un animazione nello show, è apparso alla Notte degli Orrori di Halloween di Krustyland.

RICEZIONE!: L’episodio è stato visto da 3,69 milioni di spettatori.

TIE-IN!: Un tie-in per I Simpson: Springfield è stato rilasciato, con il QG ufficiale Halloween. Inoltre durante l’evento La Paura Fa Novanta 2015, la Casa Strill-son è stata resa disponibile come facciata per la Casa dei Simpson, i Palloncini di Halloween saranno disponibili come decorazioni e Homer festivo (creato dalle decorazioni nell’attico nell’episodio), Kirk ghianda e Luann scoiattolo saranno disponibili come costumi. Halloween of Horror

Episode Description:

When Lisa becomes scared at the Krustyland Halloween Horror Night, Homer is forced to take down his Everscream Terrors decorations. Halloween pop-up employees seek vengeance on Homer for causing them to lose their jobs, and rob his house while Homer and Lisa hide out in the attic. Homer and Lisa light up their stored holiday decorations to attract attention and stand up to the intruders.

Episode Details: ‘Halloween of Horror’ is the 4th episode of Season 27 as well as the 578th episode of The Simpsons. The episode aired on FOX on October 18, 2015 and was written by Carolyn Omine and directed by Mike B. Anderson with Matt Selman and Al Jean as show runners.

PLOT!:

The day before Halloween, Homer completelly decorated his house, calling it “Everscream Terrors”, but Homer stored the plastic skeletons too close to the furnace, so he decided to take it’s remainings back to the Halloween pop-up store. On their way to the store, Lisa and Bart commented about how excited they are about the upcoming Krustyland Halloween Horror.

At the shop, Apu (who chose a halloween joke name: A-Boo) gets angry at three lazy pop-up employees who are sleeping on their job, telling them to go back to work. But one of them gave Homer a deal, where if he buy him one “Señor Skeleton”, a dancing mexican skeleton, he would give Homer three of them for free. Homer accepts it and talks about the deal to Apu, who promply fired the bad workers. They then promised revenge on Homer, saying he’ll be real sorry for getting them fired.

Later, Homer takes the kids to the Halloween Horror, but it ends up scaring Lisa, who asked her dad to go back home, but because the tickets were too expensive and he and Bart were enjoying the park, Homer decided she should only think that all of that isn’t real and stay on the park. This didn’t help at all, and Lisa ends up getting lost on the park and traumatized to a point where the employees had to shut down the park.

At school, Lisa’s trauma made her scared even from the simplest halloween figures, such as paper zombies and bats. She then hides inside a locker, only to be rescued later by Marge. Back home, Marge realizes Lisa’s problem and tells Homer they should shut down Everscream Terrors (as Lisa is scared to the point of getting help from Tailee, a plastic animal tail), making both Homer and Bart upset. In order to reconcile with Bart, Marge takes him and Maggie to the best Block Party in Springfield, leaving Lisa and Homer alone.

At home, Homer is visited by the three ex-pop-up employees. where they started playing mind games with him. Homer then realizes they’re being stalked by said employees while trying to keep Lisa calm during halloween. Meanwhile at the block party, Marge discovers that it is for residents only, as last year’s party was wrecked by visitors. Bart gets even more upset because he has “missed halloween”.

Back at 742 Evergreen Terrace, Homer tries to lock the house, not realizing that the three employees are already inside. He tries to take Lisa to the Flanders’ House, but she runs back inside to get Tailee, the only thing that kept her calm during halloween. Homer rushes to save her, only for them to get face to face with the home invaders. Homer and Lisa then rush to hide at the attic while the ex-employees are looking for them.

But things aren’t that great to Marge, Bart and Maggie’s Halloween. As it is too late, all the kids are asleep, and it’s time for the grown-up Halloween, (which is when grown ups dress up in costumes to get drunk), so Marge decides to take the kids back home. At the Simpsons’ House, Homer calms down Lisa, and they decide to use the Everscream Terror decorations as a help signal, but they accidentally activate the Señor Skeletons, giving away their location to the invaders.

Homer climbs onto the roof to light up the remaining 4th of July fireworks, but the wind extinguishes the matches. Lisa then remembers that Tailee is made of polyester and will burn pretty easily, so Homer burns Tailee to light the fireworks to attract people’s attention, and use the lights to ask for help. The home invaders are then arrested almost immediately and Homer builds Everscream Terrace back so the whole town can enjoy it.

PRODUCTION!: Carl Zealer, who won a competition to get animated into the show, made an appearance at the Halloween Horror Night at Krustyland.

RECEPTION!: The episode was watched by 3.69 million viewers.

TIE-IN!: A tie-in for The Simpsons: Tapped Out has been released, with the Official Halloween HQ. Plus during the Treehouse of Horror 2015 event, the Scream-son House will be available as a skin for the Simpson Home, the Halloween Balloons will be available as decorations and Holiday Homer (made from the decorations in the attic in the episode), Acorn Kirk and Squirrel Luann will be available as skins. Also the adult party was part of the 2nd act of the event.

• When Homer and Lisa are running upstairs from the invaders, Tailee disappears from Lisa’s hand and reappears when they are upstairs.
  • The same mistake occours when Lisa is climbing onto the roof: Tailee disappears when Homer is holding her and reappears when she gives it to Homer.
